Turkey is a fascinating country where Asian and European cultures intersect.  The magnificent architecture, ancient ruins, and the mysterious scenery created by nature will grab the hearts of travelers.  It is a country that you will want to visit again and again with abundant delicious food and cute souvenirs.

 How much does it actually cost to travel to Turkey?  We thoroughly investigated the guideline for airline tickets, accommodations, and tours.  We will also introduce the prices in Turkey and the cost of staying in popular cities.

Travel to Turkey

"Transportation expenses" and "accommodation expenses" account for most of the travel expenses.  In order to grasp the budget of the entire trip, I first checked the market prices of these two major items.

<Airline ticket fee>

 Direct flights from Japan (Tokyo) to Turkey are in service in Turkey's popular city, Istanbul.  Turkish Airlines and All Nippon Airways operate direct flights.  Ticket prices vary depending on the season, but with Turkish Airlines, the market price is around 90,000 yen for a round trip per adult.

It is also possible to reduce the cost of airline tickets for convenient connections.  If you take a connecting flight from Tokyo to Istanbul, the market price is around 70,000 yen for a round trip per adult.  It costs about 20,000 yen less than a direct flight.  However, the average one-way flight is 12 hours, while the average one-way connecting flight is about 17 hours.  Look at the balance between travel time and ticket prices, and arrange a ticket that suits your itinerary.

 Airplanes are also convenient for traveling within Turkey!  The market price starts from 6,000 yen for a round trip from Istanbul to the airport in Cappadocia.  You can save money by using the bus, but it will take about 12 hours, which is a long trip.

<Accommodation fee>

 ■ Standard class: 5,000 to 8,000 yen

 ■ Superior class: 8,000 to 15,000 yen

 ■ Deluxe class: From 15,000 yen

 It depends on the city you are staying in and the area you are staying in, but this is the standard price for a room for 2 people on weekdays.  Accommodation is one of the pleasures, such as staying at a cave hotel in the popular tourist destination Cappadocia.  It's okay to adjust your budget by choosing accommodations, such as inspiring where there are characteristic accommodations and keeping prices down a little in other places.

Turkey is also a country that is often visited by solo travelers and backpackers.  There are plenty of cheap and comfortable hostels and guesthouses, so it's a great way to keep your accommodation costs down.
